    The Black Prince was called Edward of Woodstock in his early life, after his birthplace, and since the 16th century has been popularly known as the Black Prince. There is much controversy as to why Edward was called the Black Prince. It is believed that it was the French who first called him by this name due to the black armor he was known to have worn. The Black Prince Edward of Woodstock Medieval Sword is constructed of stainless steel with a double factory edge. The handle is zinc aluminum that has been hand painted with the guard featuring a crest in the center. The handle has golden painted rings leading up to a medallion pommel decorated with miniature crests. Included is a leather sheath to wear this treasure on your way into battle.
