Description:
This is the Norman Arming Sword. It features a classic, simple cross guard, with a hand and a half handle. The handle is made of a wood core, and is tightly wrapped with leather which is then sewn together. The pommel is very large and is made of steel and serves as a very good counterweight to give this sword a great presence when swung.
Please note that this sword is not meant for actual cutting or sparring.
Blade: The blade of this sword has been constructed with carbon steel and features one groove that extends about 24 inches from the guard. It is unsharpened.
Guard: The guard is a simple cross bar, with slight tapering towards the ends.
Handle: The handle features a wood core, and is tightly wrapped in leather, which is then sewn together. The large pommel is a great counterweight to give this sword a nice presence when swung.The tang is peened over top the metal pommel of the handle.
