When you Just Need it to Work
Coax is deceptively simple! In reality the tolerances and purity of the Conductor, Dielectric, and Shield are critical in making a cable last.
MPD Digital cables are Warrantied for 10 years for simple reason. They Work and Last! Indoor, Outdoor, and Specialty Applications are all supported. We can work to spec drawings and requirements.
    When Communication is Critical
The right cable and manufacturing techniques are Critical when you expect a communications cable to function at 100% of it's Rated Capacity.
MPD Digital Cables are the choice for critical communications. Current customers include the US Coast Guard, NOAA, NASA, Police and Fire Departments and the US Army and Marine Corps.
When you Need to Make Contact
Whether you are operating at high power for DX or enjoy the challenge of QRP operation, MPD Digital manufactures a cable assembly to meet your needs.
We have cable assemblies and jumpers that will assure the lowest signal loss at 5 Watts and others that will support power levels up to 20 Kw.
When you Operate from Remote Ares
Cable assemblies designed for Maximum Signal, Direct Exposure and Portability are a specialty. Cables are built Tough to handle abrasion and the strain of frequent movement.
MPD Digital manufactures cables for Outdoor, Marine, and portable use. Jumpers and Antenna cables are available for All types of remote communication needs.
Why Pay More for U.S.A. Made?
For far too long Amateur and CB Radio operators have had to live with RG Type coax dumped onto the market by offshore operators who had cheap cables made in China, selling them on the Internet for several times what they are worth.
Our MIL-C-17 RG- cables are made from United States Department of Defense standards coaxial cable that is made in the USA. This cable meets all MILSPEC MIL-C-17/JAN-C-17A requirements and both cable and connectors meet Buy USA standards.
    Isn't All Coax the Same?
Not any more! First used for WWII, the RG set of coax cable specifications was taken from the old Radio Guide. The coaxial cable type designations established by the old RG criteria have long been replaced in Military use with newer specifications for design and construction.
The RG specifications are no longer validated by any organization. Every Manufacturer sets their own standards for Materiel used and Quality. There is no guarantee What is in a particular type of coax cable. We have seen Chinese RG cables made with Aluminum Shields with a conductor that is only Copper Plated. Ever wonder why they cost less?
    Do MILSPECs make a difference
Where once the old 'RG' coaxial cable designation meant something. Today it has devolved into an accepted way to name coax cables to indicate their size and resistance. No Standards are defined for power capacity, transmission loss, and purity of content. One Brand can vary immensely from another.
With RG cable there is only one standard left. The current military standard is MIL-SPEC MIL-C-17/JAN-C-17A. Numbers, such as 'M17/75-RG214,' are given for military cables and carry over to civilian applications. The MILSPEC standards define exact construction parameters, precious metal standards, and minimum quality requirements.
Do I Really Need the Best?
If you are using your cable where you will never exceed 80% of the manufacturers non-certified rating, feel comfortable without UL Approval, and don't want a warranty, then any coax will work for you.
ALL RG Coaxial Cable we sell meets US Military specifications, is UL Listed, is ether Pure Copper or Silver, and can be used at 100% of Rated Capacity.
