A Norman Sword by Windlass Steelcrafts
32-1/4 Inch Blade, 1-7/8 inches wide, 40-1/4 Inches Overall, Black Leather Scabbard
"Few fighters were more fierce than the Normans. Although many warriors in Europe used this sword, we named it after the Normans because of its frequent appearances in the Bayeux Tapestry, the embroidery that documents the Norman Conquest.  This style was popular from 800-1600 A.D. in one form or another.  It saw action at the Battle of Hastings, and William the Conqueror likely held a sword of this type himself."
"This classical, knightly cruciform sword features a wheel pommel and a straight, no-nonsense crossguard. Narrow fuller extends most of the length of the double-edged high carbon steel blade. It's well-balanced, light and fast - perfect for cut and thrust swordplay."
The sword is in the original shipping box and appears to have never been handled or displayed. It remains in as-new condition.
