    A Russian Kindjal with Scabbard by Windlass Steelcrafts
    "Long recognized as one of the most well-designed fighting knives in the world, this military issue version served Russian armed forces well into the mid-20th century.  This curved blade was perfect as a close combat weapon for slashes and cutting strokes as well as thrusts.  It originated in the Georgian republic of Russia, but was best known as a Cossack weapon."
    The high carbon steel blade is 17-1/4 inches long and 1-3/8 inches wide.
    The overall length is 23-1/4 inches.
    It weighs 1 lb 4 oz without  the scabbard.
    It appears unused. The brass hardware is oxidized.  The varnish or other coating on the wood grips also covers the tang, where it's partly chipped off.  It's fine on the wood but doesn't stick to the metal well apparently.
