VINTAGE ANATOMICAL TEACHING DISPLAY
Interesting and unusual vintage large molded plastic anatomical high relief teaching display measuring about 27-1/2" tall and 13" wide. Designed for use in medical classes, torso is topographical, with tiny numbers denoting specific areas of the body. Complete with a molded, three-dimensional clear plastic cover, it is mounted with a wire hanger on back for wall display. The cover has a metal side pin and drilled hole in the rim for holding it in place - the reverse side pin is missing. Made by HUBBARD SCIENTIFIC CO., out of Chippewa Falls, WI, form is colorful, detailed and so cool. This hung in my uncle's medical office for years - I believe it dates to the 1970s.
Condition is very nice with no cracks to the torso or cover - as mentioned, one pin is missing, but a tiny piece of tape will hold the top in place when it is wall displayed. There is minor chipping and wear around the edges and corners as shown - does not detract. The clear plastic top is slightly yellowed with age. I think this is such a large and dramatic anatomical display. Perfect for any medical office or in a collection of retro, educational teaching models!
